Brent McFarlane lives in Saskatoon, where he attends the University of Saskatchewan, pursuing a BFA (Honours) in Acting. His play The Secret of All Literature was produced at the Drama Department and at the 2005 Saskatoon Fringe Festival. He attended Sage Hill's Playwriting Lab, facilitated by Colleen Murphy, in 2006.

He recently directed Ionesco's The Bald Soprano for Greystone Theatre's Shorts IV One-Act Play Festival. He has also acted in several Greystone productions, most recently as Arkady in George F. Walker's Nothing Sacred.

He needs a snappy closer.

Synopsis:
Les, a university student, is stuck on a paper about famed author Thomas V. Leskett. Leskett's characters are mostly autobiographical and massively well-hung. Is it symbolism? Or just realism?

There's one way to find out -- Leskett's still alive… he's 82, and teaching creative writing.

A journey of discovery ensues.
