A Promising Career

Synopsis:
Marlene and Travis hafta get outta the city. Marlene blows the motor in the Mustang. They're stuck in a rural motel. It is hot, and Marlene is not happy. Enter Cooper, a life insurance salesman. He brings a bottle for a drink and a few laughs. The laughs get outta hand. Marlene and Travis end up fugitives from the law.

Synopsis:
Buddy and Sissy, twentysomethings, from the wrong side of tracks, are taking the train to get out of the bush town. Lenny, the son of the principal, is going back to university. Let the games begin. But the games escalate into violence. Sissy has to decide to take her brother or save herself.

Star Light, Star Bright

Synopsis:
From the time an aboriginal man left the Empire Hotel to the time he was found frozen to death in the back alley, nobody knows what happened. But Burns, a city journalist newspaper is convinced Sanderson was beaten and left for dead by two racist cops. Inspector Materson reopens the file. But he cannot find evidence to back the allegations against the two police officers. Constable Waters is convinced the two cops are being thrown to the wolves.

Three agit-prop performers reenact the crime scene. A radio talk show host and her callers give their two cents on the events and issues of racism and justice.

An inquiry believes Sanderson's friend's story that he saw Sanderson bleeding and screaming for his life in the back of the police cruiser that fateful night. The two cops are found responsible for Sanderson's death. Even though, a homeless man could have witnessed what happened that night. But he was never called to testify. So what did happen?

Now, in their old age, bodies are turning up around town. But are the old two old women murderers? Have there even been murders?
