Membership Renewal

Current Memberships expire on July 31st. Now is the time to join or renew. Members have access to the following;

Dramaturgical Services

Submit your play for one-on-one consultations, workshops and more. We will work with the playwright to devise the best dramaturgical plan. Do you have a director or dramaturge that you especially want to work on your piece? Do you have a particular way that you would like to work on the piece? We’ll do our best to make that happen. Free for members

Spring Festival

Members are eligible to submit plays for our annual Spring Festival of New Plays. This is a great chance to have your play read and workshopped by some of the most accomplished and respected directors, dramaturges and Artistic Directors in the country!

24 Hour Playwriting Competition

Members have the opportunity to participate in a playwriting competition for a chance to win their choice of $500 in cash, or a spot in the 2018 Regina Fringe Festival. New this year; after the competition, SPC will work with each participating playwright to set up a dramaturgical plan specifically designed for the needs of his or her script.

Live Five:

In collaboration with Live Five, SPC has initiated a program whereby members will have access to a guaranteed spot in the Live Five season a year in advance so that your play can receive dramaturgical support for a full year before production. Free for members

We will offer one playwright per year the opportunity to work under the guidance of an accomplished Canadian director or dramaturge for a full year. The next mentee will be selected early in 2017. Free for members
