Have you ever wanted to learn about dramaturgy? To learn from leading professionals while working along side them on a totally new script? This is your chance!

How It Works
Those accepted into the program will begin with a package from SPC and Charlie Peters. This package should be read and worked on PRIOR to the first training session with Charlie. From there, you’ll be matched up with a dramaturg that is working on the new scripts from the Write Like You Mean It! program.

Timeline
This program requires strong commitment as the process of working on a new script takes several months.
Aug. 26 — Applications due
Sept. - Nov. — Training sessions with Charlie Peters
Nov. - Feb. — Continuous work on assigned script and meetings with a mentor dramaturg
Feb. — Participation in the script workshop process
Spring 2023 — Final session and post-mortem with Charlie Peters

The Selection Process
SPC will review your application and select participants based on the following criteria: passion for the work, experience, and ability to commit to the timeline.

Cost
The training and experience in this program has been value at over $750. To help cover costs, are are charging a minimum of $75 for participation. We say minimum because we would gladly accept more than $75!

The Festival
All the work from this program and Write Like You Mean It! will culminate in a digital festival of new works. Scripts will be performed in a staged reading by a cast of actors. The reading will be professionally filmed and edited before being broadcast online during the week of the festival. Dates are TBA.
